Bridges, Crowns & Caps

A crown is used to replace all, or part of a tooth.

Also called a “cap”, a crown can be the solution for a number of dental problems including a broken tooth, a tooth with a large chip or broken filling, a big cavity, after having a root canal, or to go on top of a dental implant.

Crowns are also used to cover teeth on either side of a space, and are connected to a “fake” tooth that sits in the space.

A bridge is a series of connected crowns used to replace one or more missing teeth.

Crowns, bridges and veneers can also be used to change the shape, contour and color of your teeth giving you the smile you’ve always wanted.

Dental crowns are stronger than veneers and fillings, so a crown may be recommended in certain instances.
